Slack Integration is Here

We're excited to announce that Cortexiva now integrates directly with Slack. Your team's conversations, decisions, and tribal knowledge no longer have to disappear into the void of endless message threads.

With our new Slack integration, you can connect your workspace and import channel messages as knowledge sources for your bot. This means your AI assistant can now answer questions based on real discussions your team has had.

Why Slack Conversations Matter

Think about how much valuable information lives in your Slack channels:

Decisions and context: "Why did we choose this approach?" is often answered in a thread from 6 months ago

Troubleshooting history: Common problems and their solutions discussed in real-time

Tribal knowledge: The tips and tricks your senior team members share daily

Process clarifications: "How do we handle X?" answered dozens of times

All of this knowledge typically gets lost as messages scroll out of view. Now it becomes part of your bot's permanent memory.

How It Works

Getting started is simple:

1. Connect Your Workspace

Click the Slack integration box in your bot configuration. You'll be redirected to Slack's OAuth flow to authorize Cortexiva. We only request the permissions we need to read channel messages—nothing more.

2. Select Channels to Import

Once connected, you'll see a list of public channels in your workspace. Check the ones you want to import as knowledge sources. You might start with:

Your #general or #announcements channel for company-wide context

Team-specific channels like #engineering or #product

Support channels where common questions get answered

Onboarding channels with helpful information for new hires

3. Sync and Done

Click "Sync Selected Channels" and we'll import the message history. The messages are processed through our RAG pipeline and become queryable knowledge for your bot.

Features

Re-sync Anytime

Slack conversations are ongoing. Hit the re-sync button on any channel to pull in the latest messages. Keep your bot's knowledge fresh with conversations from the past week or month.

Desync Channels

Changed your mind about a channel? Desync it with one click. The messages from that channel will be removed from your bot's knowledge base.

Message Counts

See at a glance how many messages have been imported from each channel. This helps you understand the depth of knowledge your bot has from different sources.

Privacy First

We only access channels you explicitly select. Private channels and DMs are never accessed. Your Slack data stays within your control.

EU Data Residency

Like all Cortexiva features, Slack data is processed and stored in the EU:

Supabase: Frankfurt, Germany (eu-central-1)

AI Processing: Google Cloud Netherlands (europe-west4)

Application: Vercel Amsterdam

Your team's Slack messages never leave European infrastructure.

Go to your bot configuration page

Find the Slack box in the Integrations section

Click to connect and authorize

Select your channels and sync
